Fun in the Snow!

We took a last minute trip up to the Lake Arrowhead area for some fun in the snow. Some friends recommended a place called Snowdrift Snow Tubing. We would definitely recommend this place to families for a easy and fun day of tubing. It is $12 per person for one hour so it sounds costly, but an hour is plenty of sledding on these, fun, fast and steep hills!

Happy 2013!

Happy New Year! Our little family headed over to Balboa Park and enjoyed free admission at the Railroad Museum, then played around one of the park fountains. It was such a beautiful day and a relaxing way to spend the first day of 2013. We are so just so thankful for a happy and healthy family. We hope everyone has a wonderful new year and a year to be thankful for all that we have been given!

Happy 6th Birthday sweet Elizabeth! She is truly growing into such a sharp and witty gal. She has a goofy side to her that we all love as well! Bugs loves to joke and be silly, but also enjoys being quiet and have her own imaginative play. We love our precious girl and thank the Lord for her everyday. Happy 6th Birthday Bugaboos!

Sweet Owen: We can't believe this little man is turning 8 today. His excitement for learning and playing sports is such a joy to watch! He enjoys being with family: spending Sundays watching football and playing it outside at halftime. God's love in Owen pours out in his love for his family and friends. We are so thankful for you Owen and look forward to many more years of watching you grow!!

Owen had a great visit with Babcia and Dzidek. They came down to celebrate his birthday with him today. They told him they would take him out for a birthday meal. His resturant of choice was Red Lobster.:)Thank you Babcia and Dzidek!

Christmas is on its way!

Our annual Christmas tree farm visit kicks off the season for our family. We load up in the car and make our way about 40 minutes east to this little town named Potrero where our family excitedly picks out the perfect tree!
Our dear friends, The Thomas Family, have made it a tradition as well and this year we ventured out together! A good time was had by all.
The tree we chose was a little bigger than we usually pick, but we thought it was worth a shot since we do have high ceilings in our front room. The tree is 10 feet tall and so fun to look at.
It is also an annual tradition for the Heath tree to fall in our living room as soon as its nicely decorated. Mommy does pray that it doesn't happen but sure enough it did. At first, its hard to laugh about when there's so much work to do after it falls, but we do get a chuckle much later in the day when we can't believe that it happens to us yearly!!!
Its a busy time for all, but we do have to remind ourselves that we are celebrating the birth of our Savior and what precious gift He is to us. Enjoy the season!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Our Thanksgiving week began with our last trip to Disneyland with our annual passes. Grammy and Papa took the whole family this time last year so they decided to meet us for our last opportunity to utilize our passes. Disney decorated at Christmas and the new Radiator Springs... What more could you ask for? (on a side note: Adam was tall enough for his first roller coaster: Go, Go Gadget Coaster in Toon Town!) Grammy and Papa headed back up north and we headed to Newbury Park for a delicious celebration at Babcia and Dzidek's house. O, E and A got a chance to hang out with their cousins Emily and Andrew, as well their Aunt Joanna and Uncle Nick. And of course time with Babica and Dzidek is always so fun. We also celebrated an early Christmas with them since we will be heading up to the Bay Area for Christmas this year.
We are so thankful and blessed to have wonderful and healthy family. Thank you Lord for the gift of family.
