Enjoying May!

Our life continues to be full, with school activities, sports, piano, museum days, etc.. but with the warm weather that continues to happen this spring we have found time to squeeze in some relaxing family time too. We purchased some paddleboards which we are really enjoying for family days and date days as well but we've also just been able to hang out in our backyard and play! Such a blessing!
The pics above:
1. Family Day in our backyard!
2. Enjoying a warm day on Mission Bay.

Happy Easter!!

Our little family woke up before the sun was up on Easter morning to head to our church's sunrise service. We have not attended this service since Owen was born but Jeremiah was asked to speak there that morning so we wanted to go and support him! He did awesome and all of us really enjoyed being there. We might even do it next year!:) The day continued with changing clothes(in the car!) and attending our regular church service. The rest of day was spent celebrating with the Fransz Family. We love this crew and were so thankful they made the trek down to our place this year. We had a great time catching up with them!
Easter morning always feels fresh and new knowing our Savior has risen and that His grace covers us all year/life long! So thankful for that! Easter blessings from our family to yours!

Spring Break Fun

/

Our 2 week spring break was a staycation this year! We had a little fun, did a little spring cleaning/refresh and just got to chill out from our regular busy schedule. It was lovely! Some highlight pictures above:
1. We went to the beach!
2. We repainted a few walls that were due for a refresh. Plenty more to do but at least we did some.:)\
3. We watched a lot of NCAA basketball and Owen helped us with a family bracket.
4. We met up with our dear friends, the Olsons at their campsite for some dinner and smores. So fun!
5. We went bowling on one of the colder days.
6. Babcia and the cousins came down for a visit. We went to Belmont Park, to see the Lego Movie, and had a couple nights of sleepovers.
7. While family was in town, Jeremiah and I were invited to the commissioning of the USS Coronado. It is the newest warship in the Navy and our neighbor is the Executive Officier. What an honor it was to be there.
8. The last pic actually took place the week we returned to school, but the weather was so amazing. We couldnt't pass up a chance to paddleboard. Both O and E ventured on the boards on their own. They did great!!

Another Warm Weekend of Fun!

The girls took a road trip up to Thousand Oaks for Ciocia Z.'s baby shower this weekend! We are so excited to meet her baby girl arriving very soon! Elizabeth and I had so much fun driving up together as well.  No boys to tell us to turn off our music in the car!:)

The boys got to have some fun on the water with Jeremiah's aunt arriving in town. Our family friend, Mr. Ray who owned the beach house we used to stay at in Mission Beach, sold his home and bought a wonderful boat. The boys visited with Aunt, Mr. Ray and the Harpers throughout the weekend. E and I were able to stop by the marina for a quick hello and sunset before we all headed home.

A fun filled weekend for all of us!

Spring is almost here!

We are feeling the freshness of spring in our little family with fun events that we have already been able to enjoy!
Picture #1: Adam and I were able to get free Sea World fun cards this year because I still have a valid teaching credential and he is preschool age. The park is giving out fun cards to teachers and preschoolers! Its something him and I can enjoy while the olders are at school.:)
Pictures 2-5: I was asked to organize a Poland booth for a Girl Scout World Thinking Day. I taught the girls about the country on a different day, then the girls had the opportunity to share what they learned with other troops. Babcia and Dziadek came down to check out the event as well!
Pictures6-8: You know spring has sprung when baseball season begins! Here we go! Go Padres!!

Fun February!

Lots of fun events took place in February and we're already on to March. I've posted a handful of pics to give you a Fun February summary.

1st Picture: Babcia with E and A. She came down for a visit to show some Polish friends SD for the day. We had a great time with them all.
2nd- 4th: Valentine celebrations: We enjoyed a family valentine dinner at Pizzo's Pizzeria, a new place in our neighborhood. It was a hit! Jeremiah and I were able to have a long afternoon date the following Sunday where we tried another new place: The Neighborhood in downtown SD. So yummy and fun! The last pic is of E and I with flowers that Jeremiah bought for both his girls. Very sweet!
5th picture: E received the Super Student of the month award. The focus was Courtesy. We were very proud of her! It was a plus because Owen received a surprise reading award that morning as well!
6th: The cookie selling continued especially over the 4 day holiday weekend. We headed to Mission Beach twice and E achieved her cookie selling goal of over 200 boxes!!
7th: On one of those beach cookie selling adventures, the boys came with us and we got to play at the beach as well. The weather has been incredible. It has felt like summer most days.
8th- I got to venture away to Laguna Beach for my annual Westmont Girls Weekend! Oh so amazing and refreshing. I feel so blessed to have such beautiful(inside and out) women in my life. We've been doing it for 16 years but actually all met 20 years ago! Whoa!
9th-We have a new little addition on Mondays and Fridays in our home. A and I get to hang out with 18 month old Hank. His momma went back to work and needed some childcare so we thought this would be great for our little family right now. He is such a blessing and the extra cash is such a help!
10 and final picture: I was asked to teach E's Girl Scout troop about Poland for an event called World Thinking Day that scouts attend every year. One of the wonderful moms took my old Polish costume(now E's) and created vests, skirts and head pieces for everyone in the troop. They learned about basic facts, were taught a "mini" folk dance and tried some piergois. The afternoon was such a blast and I think the girls learned a lot! Thank you Babcia for all your help!

Come and Get Your Girl Scout Cookies!

Elizabeth is a girl scout for the first time this year so this is her first year selling the infamous cookies. A bit stressful for the mamas, because the girls have a goal to meet.(200 boxes for E) but its so fun to watch Elizabeth blossom when it comes to people skills. She is also learning a lot about goal setting, counting money..basically a mini business.:) And she is doing an amazing job. We took our first walkabout yesterday and she sold 45 boxes!! You could see her confidence increasing the more customers we had.
If anyone would like to a box from her, give us a ring! She has the whole month to sell them!
