Aloha Memories during Fall Break!
Since I returned to work full time this school year, we decided to take an exciting trip to the Aulani Disney Resort on Oahu. Though J and I aren't big fans of busy resort style vacations, we will have to say that Disney does it right! The only day we left the resort was to visit the Pearl Harbor Memorial. This was a memorable excursion for the whole family and most definitely worth a visit away from island fun.
We swam, snorkeled, and ate shaved ice daily. It was a refreshing blessing to be together as a family in such a beautiful place. We came up with our family theme this year: Joyful Perseverance. The Lord has not called us to an easy life but one with purpose and strength from Him. We were so thankful for this time of rest and the opportunity to gear up for our next quarter of school.

School Year is in Full Swing but the Heaths Party on!
August has been a very full but fun month for our family! With mom back at work full time my blogging time is few and far between. We are so thankful for the opportunity I've been given to teach 1st grade at O, E and A's school but its definitely been a transition for all of us. Here are a few highlights from the end of July and all of August:
1. Daddy's 40th bday was the day before school began. He spent the day with the kiddos while I prepped my classroom. We had a rockin' 80s and 90s celebration later on in August.
2. The Heath Family took over Marshall School! Our first day of school picture: Adam in Kindergarten. Mom in 1st grade. Elizabeth in 3rd grade and Owen in 5th grade. 1st quarter is in full swing and we go on fall break on September 19th.
3. We enjoyed a summer Sunday at Belmont Park on Mission Beach boardwalk. Such a great SD day for our family! We all look forward to weekends with all of us back at work and school!
4. Some of the Heath Family spent a week up in Oceanside and since the So Cal Heath Crew was already in school, we spent a couple weekend days visiting with them on the beach!
5. August ended with a bang with a 40th birthday celebration at our place for Jeremiah. The fun included our dear friends rockin' some 80s and 90s music for us, along with a Taco Guy and a jumpy for all the kiddos. It was such a blast and I know Jeremiah enjoyed the party. He asked everyone to bring a favorite drink with a special story behind it. Our kitchen counter was filled with yummy drinks of all kinds!
I'm not sure when I'll be blogging again but we are looking for to a relaxing Hawaii trip during our September break that might be worth posting!

Summer Break 2015
6 weeks of summer break fun is coming to an end but boy it has been fun! Adam's birthday wish was to go to a baseball with big people to we celebrated at a Padre Game. As break continued, we had fun playdates with friends, swim lessons, lazy mornings and then headed up to one of our favorite places: Forest Home Summer Family Camp. It was a great place for our family to reconnect and be together in God's amazing creation. We returned to a beautiful Polish family wedding and made our way home to celebrate Father's Day with our number one guy.:)
The adventures continued with several Aquatica trips and a 17th Anniversary get-away with my love. Thank you Babcia and Dziadek for spending time with our kiddos so we could do that.
Our church just finished a week-long Vacation Bible School for all of kids and their neighborhood friends as well. Everyone had a rockin' time learning about God and his amazing love for us.
We celebrated the 4th of July with a BBQ at home and an exciting first for Adam: Riding on a two-wheel bike!! We were so excited for him!! A verse that has been encouraging to all of us this summer: Romans 12:12: Being joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Some April and May Adventures
April and the beginning of May were filled with many new additions. Owen and Elizabeth began a new golf program called Pro Kids/First Tee San Diego. They are really enjoying it so far. We love it because it not only teaches the game of golf, but life skills as well. We are all very impressed by the program and would highly recommend it to families.
Elizabeth had some field trip fun with her 2nd grade pals at the San Diego Zoo. This trip reminded us of the community blessings we have in our neighborhood. Neither of us were able to chaperone but we were so thankful and confident that Elizabeth was safe and being cared for by great parents and teachers.
In the middle of May, the Boldt family of 6 plus a puppy moved in for 5 weeks. They were in between selling and closing escrow on a new home so we offered our place in the interim. Though our house was very full with people and stuff, sweet memories were made and all the kiddos had a blast being housemates for over a month. A great perk was a night away with my favorite man. The Boldt family rocks!
Mother's Day has come and gone but my family made me feel very loved that day. My usual favs of spending time together on a bay bike ride, Chipotle and Pinkberry yogurt for dessert made my day so sweet.
There is so much to be thankful for! Thank you Lord for all our undeserved blessings!

Our little fam has had a good balance of travels and just hanging around the house during this 2 week spring break. Our schedule is so full when school is in session, its nice to take a break from routine once in a while. Picture highlights are shown above:
-Chillin' at the pool with friends
-Hangin' at the beach and seeing Ciocia Julie there
-A 2 day trip to the Yosemite Valley! Papa and Grammy were able to join us on Papa's 71st birthday. On our way home, we also a visit with Babcia and Dzidek. What a treat!
-Aunt was in town visiting with friends and we were able to meet up with her for a visit as well.
-Enjoyed a paddleboarding session on Coronado Bay for our last official Friday off!
