Fall Break Destination 2013: Yosemite National Park!
Jeremiah and I got engaged on top of half dome 16 years ago and we finally made it back(not to the top but the valley:)) with 3 kids in tow. Wow! We had forgotten how majestic in beauty Yosemite truly is. An added bonus is that it is so family friendly. We covered the valley's bike trails with all 3 kiddos. Grammy and Papa were able to join us as well. What a treat! We would highly recommend this place to all families. This fall break vacation has made some wonderful family memories for us. We hope to be back there next year!

Labor Day Finale: An Overnight Date!:)
We watched a friend's little guy while they attended a wedding in July for two days and they said they would return the favor whenever we'd like. Labor Day weekend worked for both families so O, E and A headed over there and we decided to have a fun SD overnight. We saved some money by staying at our place but had a romantic dinner at home while also enjoying the beautiful SD weather and beaches! It is always so good to reconnect and have fun with my love! It looks like we are going to be taking up paddle boarding as well. That rocked!
Labor Day Weekend!
Our goal with the Thomas family is to get together at least once a month. We live in different areas of SD but so enjoy spending time together that we try to carve out time to catch up each month. The Thomas' have a boat they share with their family and invited us to spend a morning with them on Mission Bay. What a treat. We all had a blast. O and E tried to ski for the first time ever. They were troopers. Both of them were so close in popping up but didn't quite get there. We know they will do it next time around! Adam just enjoyed being on a boat, and an added bonus was Jeremiah and I having a chance to ski/wakeboard as well. Thank you Thomas family for such a fun time together. We treasure your friendship.
School Year Continues...
Our school year continues to roll with extra curricular activities. A fine balance is always our prayer request: wanting our children to choose what they'd like to commit to but also pulling the plug when it takes away from quality family time. So far, so good. We are busy but excited to see our kiddos having fun! (Above pic: Owen starting Fall Ball and daddy coaching, Elizabeth trying out girls scouts for the first time(cute Daisey!), and Adam having weekly playdates (baseball PJs and princess shoes-gotta love it!)).
A fun morning with the Heath Cousins
The Heath Cousins were in town with their other grandpa and cousins, so we made a quick beach stop to visit them for a morning. Jeremiah even got to boogie board with his big sister Jen. Boy, the weather in August has been perfect beach weather. Great weather and fun family, what more can you ask for?:)
