Diaper Daredevils!

Last weekend we posted some pics from Owen's Little QB class. Here are a few pictures from Elizabeth's Diaper Daredevil class. The pictures really don't do it justice. Elizabeth loves this class. They have a circle time with music, and then she gets to have free play: walking on a balance beam, jumping on a trampoline, swinging on bars or just dancing around to music that is playing! This is Miss Jen and Elizabeth practicing her balance. Miss Jen is a former Olympic gymnast which makes it even more fun!

This ladder leads up to a trampoline. Go Elizabeth!

Afternoon in Julian

Grammy is visiting this week to watch the kids while Joanna goes to work, so we decided to take a short day trip to the apple town of Julian. We had dinner and yummy apple pie for dessert right on Main Street. The place we had our pie was called Mom's. Perfect for the occasion. A fun time was had by all!:) Thank you Mom for coming down to help us out. We love you.

Meeting the Newlyweds:)

Our dear Westmont friend Dave Gundlach and his new wife Carrie came down for a visit this weekend. We had briefly met Carrie at their wedding last January but this was the first opportunity we had to hang out for a bit. It was such a treat to have them here with us. Owen and Elizabeth took to them so quickly. It was precious to watch. Thanks for making the drive down to hang out with us, Dave and Carrie. We hope to see you again soon.Carrie, Dave and the kids
One of the first things Owen asked Dave: "Wanna wrestle?"

Catching up with Sanguinetti Family

Shana and I met and survived our master's program at SDSU in 2003. We have been friends ever since. We have been pregnant around the same times together so obviously our kids are very close in ages. The Sanguinetti family lived in Chula Vista for a while and moved up to North County last year so we don't get to visit with them as much as we'd like. We got together to watch the Charger Game on Sunday. Too bad they lost. Thanks for having us over Sanguinetti Fam. We miss you all down here!Jack, Owen, Elizabeth(gotta love the Charger cheer uniform passed on to us from Ella), and Ella

Saturday Morning Football Practice

We have such wonderful park and recreation classes down here in Chula Vista. Currently, Owen is signed up for a class called Little QB's. Its a 45 min. class where the kids just have fun doing different kinds of football drills. In two weeks, Little QB's will be over and Little Dunkers will begin. Daddy can't wait for that! Hopefully, we'll have some video coverage for you in a couple weeks.Getting ready for practice
Elizabeth enjoys watching her brother at practice. She's in a class at our park called Diaper Daredevils. We'll have to post some pics from her class as well.:)
Waiting their turns!
Go Owen!
Warming up with Coach Javier!
Stretching with Coach Vanessa!

Cute shots that had to be posted

Ok, I had to make a quick run to Vons. We usually don't shop there since Trader's Joe's and Henry's opened up down here, but there's always a few items we need at the regular grocery store. Owen was so excited to go because I told him that he and Elizabeth were going to drive a car together.:) Well, at the end of our time, mama wanted a quick Starbucks so the kiddos got a hot chocolate as well. Now I don't always buy them treats at Starbucks (I promise!), but this picture with them and their cups, was something I could not pass up.:)

A Fun Early Birthday Breakfast with Jess and Ella

Jess and I got together this morning for a early birthday breakfast for me. My b-day is not until the end of the month, but this is the last week of my fall break, and I am trying to do all the fun things I can until the work craziness kicks in again. I am so thankful that I only have to work part-time and also have the opportunity to be with my kids, but managing both takes organization and lots of energy.:) Thank you Jess, for a fun and tasty birthday breakfast! Owen and Elizabeth just love Ella and of course, Ciocia Jessica. We are so thankful for you.Us!
Elizabeth and Owen could have kissed Ella all morning but we had to make it back to our cars so that our parking meters wouldn't run out!
Owen posing sweetly, knowing if he did, he would receive a tasty treat afterwards. I know its bribery, but it works with a 3 1/2 year old.

Our Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

My (Joanna aka Mama) favorite season is fall. I was very excited to take Owen and Elizabeth to the pumpkin patch. We had a great time, even though it felt like we were in the middle of July because of hot it was that day. We had a blast going on a tractor ride, running through a corn maze and of course picking out our pumpkins. We'll definitely have to have a return visit when it cools down to enjoy the autumn surroundings a bit more.

Happy Fall at Disneyland

We made a surprise stop at Disneyland on our way home from Santa Barbara. Owen was especially thrilled to have a break from our travels here. It was fun to see Disneyland decorated for the fall.

Future Westmont Warriors!

Westmont 10 Year Homecoming Reunion

Its been 10 years since Jeremiah and I graduated from Westmont College. Go Warriors! Class of 1998! We drove up to Santa Barbara with the kiddos to celebrate with some old friends. Here are some photos from our friends-packed weekend. Our amazing hosts for the weekend: Dr. and Pat Leech. Jeremiah had the opportunity to travel with them and other students on a Europe Semester our senior year. We enjoyed spending sometime with them this weekend. Thank you for being such warm and welcoming hosts to us!

The Girls of Page Hall. (Elizabeth made her way into the picture:)) We missed you Leah and Christine. Sandra was missed in this picture as well, but she was able to be with us later that day. After 10 years, we look even better girls!

Some of Jeremiah's friends got together for breakfast at the Monley's home on Saturday. Thank you for a fun and tasty breakfast Monley Family. Nate, his son Finn and Owen are swinging together above.
Elizabeth trying out the Monley swing as well.
Great times at the Monley's. Rain made it even more fun.
